Armenia–Portugal relations

The Republic of Armenia and the Portuguese Republic shall establish diplomatic relations based on mutual respect, sovereignty, and non-interference in internal affairs. The establishment of diplomatic missions shall be governed by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The two countries shall exchange diplomatic representatives to promote friendly relations and cooperation. The diplomatic missions shall be responsible for promoting economic, cultural, and scientific cooperation between the two countries.

The Portuguese Republic shall provide humanitarian aid to the Republic of Armenia in times of natural disasters or other emergencies. The aid shall be provided in accordance with the principles of humanity, neutrality, and impartiality. The two countries shall cooperate in the provision of emergency assistance, including search and rescue operations, medical care, and food assistance. The aid shall be coordinated through the relevant authorities of both countries.

The Republic of Armenia and the Portuguese Republic shall cooperate on regional and global initiatives, including the United Nations. The two countries shall work together to promote peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond. The cooperation shall include joint participation in international organizations, conferences, and meetings. The two countries shall also exchange information and expertise on issues of mutual interest.

The Republic of Armenia and the Portuguese Republic shall promote economic cooperation, including trade, investment, and tourism. The two countries shall encourage the exchange of goods, services, and technologies, and shall provide favorable conditions for economic cooperation. The cooperation shall be governed by the principles of fairness, transparency, and mutual benefit. The two countries shall also cooperate in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Republic of Armenia and the Portuguese Republic shall promote cultural cooperation, including the exchange of cultural delegations, artists, and intellectuals. The two countries shall encourage the development of cultural exchanges, including in the fields of education, science, and technology. The cooperation shall be governed by the principles of mutual respect and understanding. The two countries shall also cooperate in the preservation of cultural heritage and the promotion of cultural diversity.
