Why does Telegram analysis require an API key?
Telegram's MTProto API requires authentication to prevent abuse. You register a free app at my.telegram.org in about 2 minutes and get a permanent, free api_id and api_hash.
Why is WhatsApp analysis limited?
WhatsApp has no public API for groups — only its invite preview page (name, description, member count, photo) is accessible to any tool, including this one.
What does the spam score measure?
The group name, description and recent messages are scanned for 30+ known scam patterns — crypto schemes, guaranteed-profit claims, airdrop scams, seed-phrase requests, MLM recruitment and phishing keywords.
How is the bot ratio calculated?
Up to 500 recent messages are fetched, unique senders collected, and each checked against Telegram's bot flag — the ratio is bots divided by total unique senders. Sophisticated bots may not always be flagged.
