Argentina–Portugal relations

The Government of Portugal shall maintain a diplomatic mission in Argentina, with the aim of promoting and strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. The mission shall be responsible for fostering cooperation in areas such as trade, culture, and education. The diplomatic mission shall also provide assistance to Portuguese citizens residing in or visiting Argentina. The mission shall be headed by an ambassador appointed by the Government of Portugal.

The cooperation between Argentina and Portugal in the area of trade shall be governed by the principles of mutual benefit and reciprocity. The two countries shall work together to promote the exchange of goods and services, and to eliminate trade barriers. The cooperation shall also extend to the area of investment, with the aim of promoting economic growth and development in both countries. The cooperation shall be implemented through bilateral agreements and joint committees.

The cultural cooperation between Argentina and Portugal shall be promoted through the exchange of artists, musicians, and writers. The two countries shall also work together to preserve and promote their cultural heritage, including their historic sites and monuments. The cooperation shall also extend to the area of education, with the aim of promoting the exchange of students and teachers. The cooperation shall be implemented through bilateral agreements and joint programs.

The Government of Portugal and the Government of Argentina shall work together to promote the rights and interests of their citizens residing in each other's territory. The two countries shall cooperate in the area of consular services, including the issuance of visas and the provision of assistance to citizens in distress. The cooperation shall also extend to the area of social security, with the aim of promoting the welfare of citizens residing in each other's territory. The cooperation shall be implemented through bilateral agreements and joint committees.

The disputes arising from the interpretation or implementation of this law shall be resolved through diplomatic channels. The Government of Portugal and the Government of Argentina shall work together to resolve any disputes that may arise, through negotiation and consultation. The cooperation shall be guided by the principles of mutual respect and cooperation, with the aim of promoting the friendly relations between the two countries. The disputes shall be resolved in accordance with international law and the principles of justice and equity.
