The Korea Standard Time, hereinafter referred to as KST, shall be the standard time observed throughout the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. KST shall be equivalent to UTC+9 and shall serve as the basis for all timekeeping purposes. The KST shall be used for all official business, including government operations, transportation, and communication. The use of KST is mandatory for all institutions and individuals within the country.
North Korea uses a standard time called Korea Standard Time, which is 9 hours ahead of UTC. This time is used for all official purposes.
