Albania–Denmark relations

The Kingdom of Denmark and the Republic of Albania shall establish and maintain diplomatic relations, with the aim of promoting mutual understanding, cooperation, and friendship between the two nations. The diplomatic relations shall be governed by the principles of international law, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The two countries shall exchange diplomatic missions, and the diplomatic agents shall enjoy the privileges and immunities provided for in international law. The diplomatic relations shall be guided by the principles of reciprocity and mutual benefit.

The Government of Denmark shall provide development aid and support to the Government of Albania, with the aim of promoting Albania's economic and social growth. The development aid shall be provided in accordance with the Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs of Denmark, and shall be guided by the principles of poverty reduction, sustainable development, and human rights. The two countries shall cooperate in the implementation of the development aid programs, and shall ensure that the aid is used effectively and efficiently. The development aid shall be subject to regular monitoring and evaluation.

The Kingdom of Denmark and the Republic of Albania shall cooperate on regional and international issues, including the European Union and the United Nations. The two countries shall work together to promote peace, stability, and security in the region, and shall support each other's candidatures and initiatives in international organizations. The cooperation shall be guided by the principles of mutual respect, trust, and cooperation, and shall be subject to regular consultations and dialogue. The two countries shall also cooperate in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, and other global threats.

The Government of Albania shall be a beneficiary of Denmark's Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs, and shall be eligible to receive development aid and support from Denmark. The ODA programs shall be implemented in accordance with the agreements and arrangements between the two countries, and shall be subject to regular monitoring and evaluation. The development aid shall be used to support Albania's development priorities, including poverty reduction, education, health, and infrastructure development. The two countries shall cooperate in the identification of development priorities and the implementation of the ODA programs.

The Kingdom of Denmark and the Republic of Albania shall settle any disputes or disagreements arising from the interpretation or implementation of this agreement through diplomatic channels. The two countries shall engage in consultations and negotiations to resolve any disputes or disagreements, and shall seek to find mutually acceptable solutions. The disputes or disagreements shall not affect the overall cooperation and friendship between the two countries, and shall be resolved in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation. The two countries shall also consider seeking the assistance of international organizations or third-party mediation if necessary.
