Germany–Ukraine relations

Germany and Ukraine have a complex relationship, with diplomatic ties established in 1992 after Ukraine gained independence from the Soviet Union. The two countries cooperate on trade, energy, and security issues, with Germany being a key supporter of Ukraine's European integration and stability. Germany also provides significant economic and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, particularly in response to the 2022 Russian invasion.
