1st Supreme Council

The 1st Supreme Council of Ukraine was the first parliament of Ukraine after gaining independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. It was established in 1990 and served a four-year term until 1994. The council was responsible for drafting Ukraine's first post-Soviet constitution.
