5th Verkhovna Rada

The 5th Verkhovna Rada refers to the fifth term of the Ukrainian Parliament, which was in session from 2006 to 2007. During this period, the parliament was responsible for making laws and overseeing the government of Ukraine. The 5th Verkhovna Rada was led by the Party of Regions and the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko.
