Russia–Ukraine relations

Ukraine and Russia have a complex and often tense relationship, with historical ties and shared cultural heritage, but also significant differences and conflicts, particularly since Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014 and ongoing support for separatist groups in eastern Ukraine.
