Shafi'i

The Shafi'i school of Islamic jurisprudence is a legal tradition that originated in the 8th century and is widely practiced in Sri Lanka. It is based on the teachings of Imam Shafi'i and emphasizes the use of reason and analogy in interpreting Islamic law. The Shafi'i school is one of the four major schools of thought in Sunni Islam.
