Germany–Sri Lanka relations

Germany and Sri Lanka have established diplomatic relations since 1956, with Germany providing economic and development assistance to Sri Lanka. The two countries cooperate in areas such as trade, education, and culture, with Germany being one of Sri Lanka's largest trading partners in the European Union. Germany also provides humanitarian aid and support to Sri Lanka in times of crisis.
