Iceland–Norway relations

Iceland and Norway have a close bilateral relationship, with both countries being members of the Council of Europe and the Nordic Council. They cooperate in areas such as trade, fisheries, and tourism, and have a long history of cultural and linguistic ties. The two countries also have a mutual defense agreement and participate in joint Nordic defense efforts.
