North Korea–Vietnam relations

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam shall cooperate in the protection of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. This cooperation shall be facilitated through the exchange of information and expertise between the two countries. The parties shall work together to prevent the infringement of intellectual property rights and to promote the development of innovative technologies. The cooperation shall be governed by the laws and regulations of each country.

The parties shall establish a joint committee to oversee the implementation of this agreement and to discuss matters related to intellectual property protection. The committee shall meet annually to review the progress of cooperation and to identify areas for further collaboration. The committee shall be composed of representatives from the relevant ministries and agencies of each country. The committee's decisions shall be made by consensus.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam shall provide each other with technical assistance and capacity-building programs to enhance the protection of intellectual property rights. This assistance shall include training programs for officials and experts, as well as the provision of equipment and technology. The parties shall also cooperate in the development of laws and regulations related to intellectual property protection. The assistance shall be provided on a reciprocal basis.

The parties shall cooperate in the prevention of intellectual property infringement, including the counterfeiting of goods and the piracy of copyrighted works. This cooperation shall include the sharing of information and intelligence, as well as the coordination of law enforcement efforts. The parties shall also work together to raise awareness about the importance of intellectual property protection and to promote a culture of respect for intellectual property rights. The cooperation shall be in accordance with the laws and regulations of each country.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam shall resolve any disputes arising from the interpretation or implementation of this agreement through diplomatic channels. The parties shall strive to resolve disputes in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation. The disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the principles of international law and the laws and regulations of each country. The resolution of disputes shall not affect the cooperation between the two countries in other areas.
