Denmark–Finland relations

The Kingdom of Denmark and the Republic of Finland shall cooperate in the protection of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. This cooperation shall be facilitated through the exchange of information and best practices between the two countries. The parties shall also work together to prevent the infringement of intellectual property rights. This cooperation is in line with the EU's intellectual property laws and regulations.

The parties agree to recognize and respect the intellectual property rights of each other's citizens, including the right to exclusive use of trademarks and patents. This recognition shall be based on the principles of national treatment and most-favored-nation treatment. The parties shall also provide adequate and effective protection against the unauthorized use of intellectual property rights.

The parties shall cooperate in the enforcement of intellectual property rights, including the prevention of counterfeiting and piracy. This cooperation shall include the exchange of information and coordination of efforts to combat intellectual property infringement. The parties shall also provide assistance to each other in the enforcement of intellectual property rights, including the provision of evidence and witnesses.

The parties agree to establish a joint committee to oversee the implementation of this agreement and to discuss matters related to intellectual property protection. The committee shall meet regularly to exchange information and best practices, and to identify areas for cooperation and improvement. The committee shall also provide a forum for the parties to resolve disputes and address issues related to intellectual property protection.

This agreement shall enter into force on the date of its signature and shall remain in force for a period of five years, unless terminated by either party with six months' written notice. The agreement may be amended or modified by mutual consent of the parties, and any such amendments or modifications shall enter into force on the date of their signature. The parties shall review the agreement regularly to ensure its effectiveness and to identify areas for improvement.
