Riksakten

The Riksakten is a historical law in Norway that established a personal union between Sweden and Norway in 1814, creating a shared monarch but separate governments for the two countries. This union was formed after Norway's independence from Denmark and Sweden's offer to share a monarch. The Riksakten remained in effect until Norway's full independence from Sweden in 1905.
