Constitution of Venezuela (1953)

The 1953 Constitution of Venezuela established a federal republic with a president serving as head of state and government, and a bicameral legislative body composed of a Senate and a Chamber of Deputies. It also enshrined individual rights and freedoms, such as freedom of speech and the press, and protected the rights of workers and the environment. The constitution was in effect until it was suspended in 1999.
