China–Kazakhstan relations

China and Kazakhstan have a strategic partnership based on mutual economic and security interests, with cooperation in areas such as trade, energy, and transportation. The two countries have a long-standing agreement to strengthen their bilateral ties, with China being Kazakhstan's largest trading partner. Kazakhstan is also a key participant in China's Belt and Road Initiative.
