Egypt–Iran relations

Egypt and Iran have a complex and historically strained relationship, with periods of diplomatic isolation and conflict, particularly following the 1979 Iranian Revolution. The two countries have had limited diplomatic engagement and cooperation, mainly due to Egypt's close ties with the United States and other Western countries.
