Yamit

The Yamit law in Egypt refers to a 1979 law that allowed the Israeli government to relocate residents of the Yamit settlement in the Sinai Peninsula, which was to be returned to Egypt as part of the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty. The law facilitated the transfer of residents and assets from Yamit to other locations within Israel. It was enacted to manage the settlement's dissolution.
