1987 Constitution of Ethiopia

The 1987 Constitution of Ethiopia, also known as the Constitution of the People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, establishes a socialist state with a one-party system and guarantees the rights of citizens, including equality, freedom of speech, and the right to work. The constitution also outlines the structure of government, including the role of the People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the powers of its institutions. It was adopted in 1987 and replaced by a new constitution in 1995.
