Siamese-American Treaty of Amity and Commerce

The Siamese-American Treaty of Amity and Commerce is a 19th-century agreement between Siam (now Thailand) and the United States, signed in 1836. This treaty established trade relations, including the exchange of goods and the protection of American citizens in Siam. It also marked one of the first formal diplomatic agreements between the two nations.
