Portugal–Soviet Union relations

The present agreement shall govern the conditions of employment for Portuguese citizens working in the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union shall ensure that all Portuguese workers are provided with a written contract outlining the terms and conditions of their employment. The contract shall include, but not be limited to, the worker's job title, salary, and benefits. The contract shall be written in both Portuguese and Russian.

Portuguese workers in the Soviet Union shall be entitled to the same rights and benefits as Soviet workers, including but not limited to, paid annual leave, sick leave, and access to healthcare. The Soviet Union shall ensure that all Portuguese workers are registered with the relevant authorities and are in possession of the necessary documentation to work in the country. The Soviet Union shall also ensure that all Portuguese workers are treated in accordance with the principles of equality and non-discrimination.

The Soviet Union shall be responsible for ensuring that all Portuguese workers are aware of their rights and obligations under the present agreement. The Soviet Union shall provide information to Portuguese workers regarding their rights and obligations in a language that they can understand. The Soviet Union shall also establish a mechanism for Portuguese workers to submit complaints and grievances.

The present agreement shall not affect the rights and obligations of Portuguese workers under Portuguese law. Portuguese workers in the Soviet Union shall continue to be subject to Portuguese law with regard to matters such as taxation, social security, and pension rights. The Soviet Union and Portugal shall cooperate to ensure that Portuguese workers are not subject to double taxation or double social security contributions.

The present agreement shall be subject to review and revision as necessary. The Soviet Union and Portugal shall consult with each other to ensure that the agreement remains effective and relevant. Any disputes arising from the interpretation or implementation of the present agreement shall be resolved through diplomatic channels.
