Suppression of Communism Act, 1950

The Suppression of Communism Act, 1950, is a South African law that prohibits the promotion of communism and restricts the activities of communist organizations. It allows for the banning of individuals and groups deemed to be communist or a threat to national security, effectively limiting their freedom of speech and assembly. The law was later renamed the "Internal Security Act" in 1976.
