Japan–Vietnam relations

Japan and Vietnam have established a strong bilateral relationship, with cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and development assistance. Japan is one of Vietnam's largest trading partners and a significant investor in the country. The two nations also share a close partnership in regional and international forums, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
