North Korea–Vietnam relations

Vietnam and North Korea established diplomatic relations in 1950, with the two countries cooperating on economic and trade fronts, particularly in areas such as energy and infrastructure development. Vietnam has also provided humanitarian aid to North Korea, including food assistance during times of famine. The relationship between the two countries has been relatively stable, with regular high-level visits and agreements on cooperation.
