1940 Constitution of Cuba

The 1940 Constitution of Cuba established a federal republic with a president, a bicameral legislature, and an independent judiciary. It also enshrined individual rights and freedoms, including freedom of speech and the press. The constitution was in effect from 1940 to 1952, when it was suspended following the Cuban Revolution.
