The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Government of the People's Republic of China shall establish diplomatic relations based on the principles of mutual respect, sovereignty, and non-interference in each other's internal affairs. The two governments shall exchange diplomatic envoys and establish diplomatic missions in each other's capital cities. The diplomatic missions shall be responsible for promoting and protecting the interests of their respective countries and citizens. The diplomatic relations shall be governed by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
Somalia and China have agreed to work together and respect each other's independence. They will have official representatives in each other's countries to look out for their citizens' interests.
