China–Somalia relations

The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Government of the People's Republic of China shall establish diplomatic relations based on the principles of mutual respect, sovereignty, and non-interference in each other's internal affairs. The two governments shall exchange diplomatic envoys and establish diplomatic missions in each other's capital cities. The diplomatic missions shall be responsible for promoting and protecting the interests of their respective countries and citizens. The diplomatic relations shall be governed by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

The cooperation between the two countries shall be based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and reciprocity. The two governments shall promote and facilitate economic, cultural, and scientific exchanges between their respective countries. The cooperation shall include but not be limited to trade, investment, education, healthcare, and technology. The two governments shall also cooperate on regional and international issues of common interest.

The two governments shall facilitate the exchange of visits by officials, businessmen, and citizens of the two countries. The two governments shall also promote people-to-people diplomacy and encourage exchanges between academic, cultural, and sports institutions. The two governments shall provide necessary assistance and support to each other's citizens residing in their respective territories. The two governments shall also cooperate on issues related to immigration and consular affairs.

The two governments shall cooperate on international issues of common interest, including but not limited to peace and security, sustainable development, and human rights. The two governments shall also cooperate on regional issues, including but not limited to regional security, economic integration, and environmental protection. The two governments shall work together to promote multilateralism and uphold the principles of the United Nations Charter.

The two governments shall settle any disputes arising from the interpretation or implementation of this agreement through diplomatic channels. The two governments shall also establish a joint committee to oversee the implementation of this agreement and to explore new areas of cooperation. The joint committee shall meet regularly to review the progress of cooperation and to discuss any issues of concern. The two governments shall also cooperate on capacity building and technical assistance to support the implementation of this agreement.
