Mauritania–Senegal relations

Mauritania and Senegal have a complex history of bilateral relations, with periods of conflict and cooperation. The two countries share a border and have a long-standing dispute over the Casamance region, which has led to tensions and occasional violence. Despite these challenges, they have also cooperated on regional and international issues.
