Senegal–United States relations

Senegal and the United States have a long-standing bilateral relationship based on shared values of democracy, human rights, and economic development. The two countries cooperate on various issues, including trade, security, and health, with the US providing significant economic and humanitarian aid to Senegal. Diplomatic relations between the two nations date back to 1960.
