Colombian Constitution of 1821

The Colombian Constitution of 1821 was the first constitution of the Republic of Gran Colombia, a short-lived country that existed from 1819 to 1831. It established the framework for the government and institutions of Gran Colombia, which later dissolved into present-day Colombia and Venezuela. The constitution was adopted on August 22, 1821.
