Germany–South Korea relations

Germany and South Korea established diplomatic relations in 1883, with Germany being one of the first Western countries to recognize South Korea. The relationship has since grown, with cooperation in areas such as trade, education, and security. Today, Germany is one of South Korea's key economic partners and a close ally in the international community.
