Malaysia–Singapore relations

Malaysia and Singapore have a complex history of bilateral relations, with periods of cooperation and tension, particularly over issues such as territorial disputes and economic competition. The two countries have a 1990 treaty that demarcates their maritime boundary and a 2005 agreement on the use of airspace. Despite these agreements, tensions between Malaysia and Singapore persist.
