Singapore–Taiwan relations

Singapore maintains unofficial diplomatic relations with Taiwan, with both countries engaging in economic and cultural exchanges, but not having formal diplomatic ties. This arrangement is due to Singapore's "One China" policy, which recognizes the People's Republic of China as the sole legitimate government of China. As a result, Singapore does not have an embassy or consulate in Taiwan, and Taiwanese citizens must travel to a third country to apply for a Singapore visa.
