Deak v. Romania and the United Kingdom

In the case of Deak v. Romania and the United Kingdom, the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) ruled that Romania failed to investigate the disappearance of a Hungarian citizen, Deak, who was allegedly abducted by Romanian and British intelligence services in the 1950s. The court found that Romania had breached Article 2 (right to life) and Article 3 (prohibition of inhuman treatment) of the European Convention on Human Rights.
