Norway–Saudi Arabia relations

Norway and Saudi Arabia have established diplomatic relations since 1928, with Norway opening its embassy in Riyadh in 1972. The two countries have a relatively limited but cooperative relationship, with Norway focusing on promoting human rights and democracy in Saudi Arabia. Norway has also imposed sanctions on Saudi Arabia due to human rights concerns and the 2018 murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
