Afghanistan–Pakistan relations

Pakistan and Afghanistan have a complex relationship, with tensions often rising over issues such as border security, terrorism, and trade. The two countries have a long-standing dispute over the Durand Line, the border established by the British in 1893, which Afghanistan does not recognize as the official border.
