Treaty of Ancón

The Treaty of Ancón is a peace treaty between Chile and Peru, signed on October 20, 1883, which officially ended the War of the Pacific. The treaty resulted in Peru ceding significant territory to Chile, including the provinces of Tarapacá, Antofagasta, and Arica. This led to a significant shift in the border between the two countries.
