Chile–Uruguay relations

Chile and Uruguay have a long-standing diplomatic relationship, with both countries being members of various regional organizations such as the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) and the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR). They cooperate on economic, social, and cultural issues, and have a strong tradition of bilateral cooperation. The two countries also share a border and have a close relationship with neighboring Argentina.
