Tenth Amendment of the Constitution of Ireland

The Tenth Amendment of the Constitution of Ireland allows the state to ratify the Single European Act, enabling Ireland to participate in the European Union's single market and economic policies. This amendment was added to the Constitution in 1987. It gives the Oireachtas (Irish parliament) the power to make laws necessary for Ireland's participation in the EU.
