Mexico City Policy

The Mexico City Policy, also known as the Global Gag Rule, is a US policy that restricts non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in other countries from using non-US government funds for abortion services or advocacy. This policy was first introduced in 1984 and has been reinstated or repealed several times by US administrations. It primarily affects international family planning and reproductive health programs.
