Japan–Kuwait relations

Japan and Kuwait have established diplomatic relations since 1961, with both countries cooperating on trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. Japan is one of Kuwait's largest trading partners, with significant imports of oil and natural gas. The two countries also collaborate on regional and international issues, such as security and development in the Middle East.
