Morocco–United States relations

The Morocco-US relations are based on a long-standing friendship and cooperation, with the two countries sharing common interests in areas such as trade, security, and counter-terrorism. Morocco is one of the largest recipients of US foreign aid in Africa, and the two countries have a strong partnership in promoting economic development and stability in the region. The US also maintains a significant military presence in Morocco, with a major airbase at Sidi Slimane.
