Sri Lanka and Taiwan have established diplomatic relations, with Sri Lanka being one of the few countries that maintains formal ties with Taiwan. The two countries cooperate in areas such as trade, education, and technology. However, Sri Lanka's relations with Taiwan are subject to diplomatic pressure from China, which claims Taiwan as its own territory.
