Algerian nationality law grants citizenship to individuals born to Algerian parents, as well as those born in Algeria to foreign parents who have been resident in the country for a certain period. The law also allows for naturalization, with requirements including a minimum residency period of five years and a demonstration of good character. Algerian citizenship can be revoked in cases of treason, espionage, or other serious offenses.
