🇲🇽 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo

The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo is a peace treaty signed in 1848 between Mexico and the United States, ending the Mexican-American War. The treaty resulted in Mexico ceding a significant amount of land, including present-day California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and parts of Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming, to the United States. This treaty established the Rio Grande as the border between the U.S. and Mexico.
