Luke Littler defends title as Premier League Darts 2027 dates announced

Luke Littler and Luke Humphries will headline next year’s Premier League darts roadshow, which begins at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Thursday, February 4, and will be shown live on Sky Sports. The opening night marks the start of the 2027 season of the Professional Darts Corporation’s flagship league, a weekly event that travels to a new venue each week and culminates in a final at Manchester Arena in late May.

The league is the sport’s most visible showcase, drawing TV audiences of more than a million and filling arenas across the UK. Littler, 22, entered the 2026 season as a surprise champion after a breakout year that saw him defeat several top‑ranked players. His defence this season adds a fresh storyline to a competition that traditionally pits established stars against emerging talent. Humphries, a two‑time league winner and former world champion, returns as a veteran presence, promising high‑quality darts and a chance for the younger player to test himself against a seasoned rival.

The 2027 itinerary features ten stops: Glasgow (Feb 4), Aberdeen (Feb 11), Newcastle (Feb 18), Birmingham (Feb 25), Cardiff (Mar 4), Liverpool (Mar 11), Sheffield (Mar 18), Leeds (Mar 25), London’s O2 Arena (Apr 1) and the final in Manchester (May 27). The total prize fund remains at £1 million, with £250,000 for the champion. Sky Sports will broadcast every night, and the PDC expects an average audience of 1.2 million viewers. “We’re thrilled to have Luke Littler back to defend his title and Luke Humphries leading the pack,” said PDC chief executive Eddie Hearn. “The schedule gives fans a chance to see world‑class darts in their own city, and the prize money ensures the competition stays fierce.”

Tickets go on sale this week, with early‑bird pricing for the first three venues. Fans are being urged to book quickly, as previous seasons saw matches sell out within days. The league will also serve as a form guide for the World Championship in December, giving players a chance to fine‑tune their game under pressure. As the roadshow rolls out, the darts community will be watching to see whether Littler can repeat his historic run or if Humphries will reclaim the crown.
