Netflix has secured the dark comedy โ€œAll the Rageโ€ from writers Liz Feldman and Kelly Hutchinson, and it has also extended Feldmanโ€™s overall deal with the streaming giant. The move comes as Netflix looks to add fresh, edgy comedy to its growing slate of originals.

Feldman and Hutchinson first rose to prominence with โ€œThe Good Place,โ€ a hit that combined clever writing with a strong moral core. Their new project, โ€œAll the Rage,โ€ follows a woman who suddenly finds herself in a world of socialโ€‘media influencers and viral culture. The series is pitched as a sharp, satirical look at fame, authenticity and the pressure to perform. Netflixโ€™s acquisition of the show signals the companyโ€™s intent to keep pushing original comedy that can stand out against rivals like HBO Max, Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime Video.

The deal gives Feldman a multiโ€‘year commitment to develop new projects for Netflix. In addition to โ€œAll the Rage,โ€ she is expected to work on several other pilots and series that could become part of Netflixโ€™s comedy lineup. Production for โ€œAll the Rageโ€ is slated to begin later this year, with a release window in the first half of 2025. The cast, still being finalized, is rumored to include rising comedy talent from both the U.S. and the U.K., which could broaden the showโ€™s appeal.

What follows is a clear sign that Netflix is investing heavily in original comedy to attract and retain subscribers. By tying up creators who have proven success with fresh, culturally relevant content, Netflix aims to capture audiences who crave humor that feels contemporary and daring. The companyโ€™s strategy will likely influence other streaming services to pursue similar deals, intensifying competition for the next wave of comedy hits.
