Donald Trump’s White House criticised for ICE arcade video games: “A pathetic and shameful moment in American history”

Donald Trump ’s The White House has launched five politically-charged arcade titles inspired by retro classics and gamers aren’t happy.

The Flappy Bird -inspired Flappy Bill allows you to “fly a bald eagle down the National Mall”, point-and-click Trump Saving Tycoon has you saving money for your kid’s Trump Accounts while Supply Line has you stopping unhealthy foods being served to children at lunchtime.

There’s also Tetris rip-off Build The Wall which encourages players to “protect the border from the coming horde” and the Snake -inspired Rio Run has you “patrolling the line along the river [and] picking up every crosser in the lot”. A sixth game is coming soon.

“This administration is laser focused on ways to innovate and tell the story of the President’s many accomplishments in a way that resonates with every American,” a White House official told The Washington Examiner . “This is an effort to further contrast between a culture of fun and winning and the dark socialist vision Democrats have for America.”

But the unveiling of The White House arcade has been widely condemned across social media.

“Truly a pathetic and shameful moment in American history. If this doesn’t make you ashamed of this nation, you are a broken piece of shit,” wrote one X user. “Many thinkers spoke of the return of fascism in the 21st century, but none said it would come with a cringe aesthetic of 4chan memelord manchildren,” added another.

“Apparently, the site is supposed to help highlight Trump’s victories over his two terms. Of course, the entire thing is just tone deaf. The games are neither fun nor well-designed, giving the impression that they were created by some bad AI prompts. That would be preferable to the alternative, where someone’s actually been paid by the government to put together this piece of shitty propaganda,” offered one Reddit user.
